My name is Victoria Simmons and I've been teaching for 7 years. I am the Language Arts and Social Studies teacher for 5th grade. I have lived in Phoenix for two years and this will be my third year teaching 5th grade at ACA. I am also a certified teacher in Pennsylvania and Florida, where I taught both 5th and 6th grade. I look forward to this school year where we will work hard, but also have fun learning. 

Homework
Assignments are due the following day for full credit. Assignments handed in a day later will be accepted for half credit. Assignments handed in two or more days late, will NOT be accepted and a zero will be given. Students who do not complete their homework or in class work, will be expected to complete it during gym, recess, and extra recess. If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent the homework from being completed, please send in a note and I will make exceptions and extensions as necessary.

Assignments Missed Due to Absences
All handouts and assignments will be kept in a location in the classroom. It's the student's responsibility to check their folder or mailbox when they return from being absent.
