This week we will be taking our last benchmark before the AIMS that will be in April. Please make sure that your students are getting a good nights sleep and a good breakfast in the morning. Feel free to pack your student some extra snacks for the morning and afternoon. Also please remember that the book fair will be the week after Spring Break. Your students will be coming home with their wish lists next week. Also a few parents have asked if you can use the $5 coupon at the book fair and you can not.  If you buy the books at the book fair you will not receive a $5.00 coupon either. All of the books will be available online and you are more then welcome to buy the books online.

Also, do not forget about the scholastic book orders online! As we are heading into the last Semester of school it is imperative that the students are reading Grade Appropriate books at home. Scholastic offers chapter books for as little as $1.00 and if you order online you are guaranteed a coupon for $5.00 on your next order. I can not stress enough how important it is that students are reading at home. If you are able to use the public library that is a great option as well. I will also be sending home the January calander as well as the Reading Logs for this month.

Also remember if you order online at Scholastic you receive a free $5.00 book coupon for free! I have also included a link on the side of the page for Scholastic Book Orders and I have also sent home the instructions on how to access the Book Orders online. If you use our classroom code (HRRDM) our classroom can earn points for each book purchased and we can get more chapter books in the class!!
