 Mrs. McPeak/Ms Lopez 1st Grade

For the week of April 29th , 2013.

 Dear Parents and Students,

Starting the week of April 29th, your child will be reading "Fishing Bears". In this nonfiction selection children are going to find out how bears fish and prepare for winter.
Remember your achild is still working on reading goals, they have four goals to achieve and 100 minutes per goal.  Your child must read 20 minutes a day 5 times a week in order to achieve each goal. Once they have achieved all four goals, they will receive a coupon for a free pizza, a drink and two tokens from Piter Piper Pizza.

I you have a fundraiser, remember to turn it in to the front office.

In Math we are working on measurement and time to the hour and half hour.
Please make sure your child does all the homework assigned to him/her.  This reinforces learning at school and helps them move forward for a successful year.

If you have any questions, please call me or email me at emcpeak@azcharter.com, nlopez@azcharter.com.  I am looking forward to meeting each one of you.

                                                                        Sincerely,
