Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Mrs. Allen’s kindergarten class.  I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility.  I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience here at ACA.  However, I cannot do this alone and I need your help.  We both need to be partners in the learning process.  I need you, the parents to encourage your child at home by helping to ensure that they have completed their assignments.  I will keep you informed of all assignments that are covered in class with a weekly summary. I know with your help we are going to have a great year!

Things to know:

Snack: 

There are 2 snack times and need to be brought from home.

Communication: 

Your child will receive a folder that will need to be brought to school everyday. This is where their homework will be and any other papers that are done in class. The best way to get in contact with me is via email. If you would like to set up an appointment feel free to email or call.

Behavior:

Please check with your child daily on their calendar inside the folder. This will tell you how they behaved in class each day.  Green is for students who followed the 3bs.  Yellow face is for the child that had a difficult time following direction. The red face is for those students who have been spoken to multiple times in a day for not following directions. Blue is when your child has been on green the whole week they will get a special recognition with a ticket and/or sticker. Please talk to your child about good choices and the necessity of making good choices at school.
