Greetings!

My name is Mr. Burnett and I am the 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher here at ACA! This website is a great resource to find out all of the fantastic things we are doing in class! Language Arts:

To begin 3rd quarter, we will be reading and writing mysteries. Students should be choosing a mystery novel to read that is appropriate for their reading level. We have a book report due on February 3rd and I will post the requirements for this below soon. Please continue to read at least 30 minutes each night.

Social Studies/Homework

Chapters 11 and 12 cover Africa and parts of ancient Asia. Through study and group discussion, we will be coming to an understanding about the impact they had on the rest of the world. Students will be notating key vocabulary and questions in their social studies notebooks, so please take the time to go over this with them in the evenings.
