Summer vacation is coming up fast, and in some cases it’s already upon us!  In either case, parents around the west valley are          busy looking for things to help keep their kids busy and safe during the long break from school.

Arizona Charter Academy in Surprise has received a grant from the City of Surprise that is allowing the school to host free basketball and volleyball camps throughout the month of June. The “Get on the B.A.L.L.” camp, or Basketball Achievement through Literacy and Life Skills program, includes drills, scrimmages and tournaments right on the school’s campus, located at 16011 N Dysart Rd.

Eighty students from fourth grade through high school are eligible to register for this program, which promises to be both enjoyable and educational.
